I LOVE dessert, especially chocolate. I really have to have some sort of sweet after dinner every night. I love making these frozen bananas because they're super easy & you can drizzle a small amount of peanut butter & chocolate on it for a flavorful treat that's not insanely high in calories/fat. This treat is satisfying and higher in nutrients than many desserts b/c you've got protein & good fat rich peanut butter & a banana, but because of the peanut butter, it is higher in calories than many want in an "every day" dessert. You could also cut the banana in half & share with someone! Enjoy!
Ingredients: 1 small banana Handful of semi-sweet chocolate chips (about 30 chips) 1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter (I used crunchy) | 1. Soften peanut butter in microwave (~10-15 seconds) 2. Melt chocolate chips in microwave (~25 seconds x2) 3. Drizzle peanut butter on banana, then drizzle chocolate 4. Place banana in freezer for up to 30 minutes (if you freeze it too long, it becomes too hart to eat and banana becomes mushy) |
